Introduction

Welcome to our comprehensive guide on the Employee Category feature. This powerful tool allows organizations to group employees and customize various settings according to their specific needs. In this tutorial, we will walk you through the setup process step-by-step, ensuring that you can maximize the benefits of this feature for your organization.

How to Instructions

1. Navigate to Employee Section

To begin, navigate to the HRIS menu and click on Employee.

2. Create New Employee Category

Click the Create button.

3. Understand the Setup Components

The Employee Category feature is divided into four main setups: Category, Filing, Leave, and Approval.

5. Enter Category Information

First, enter the Employee category name and description. By default, the status is set to active.


6. Define Timekeeping and Payroll Calculation

Next, define the timekeeping and payroll calculation.


7. Set Up Access Control

Set up the access control.


8. Configure Regularization Approval

Under regularization approval, you can configure automatic regularization approvals.


9. Example of Automatic Approvals

For example, if you enter 120 days, employees reaching this threshold will automatically be routed to the approval queue of their approver.

In the holiday field, select whether holidays are based on the US or Philippine calendar.


11. Configure Attendance Recording Options

Next, configure the platform which defines how employees will record attendance options.


12. Choose Attendance Recording Methods

Included are HR clock in and out, mobile app, and biometrics device or a combination of all three.


13. Enable Getting Started Guide

You can also enable a tour which is a helpful getting started guide that displays when employees first log in.


14. Customize Mobile App Access

Lastly, under mobile settings, customize access to the Anya HR mobile app.


15. Set Mobile App Usage

You can set this to enable or disable mobile app usage.


16. Configure Geofencing

For geofencing, just click Lock ins to specific locations.


17. Allow Offline Logs

Allow offline logs that sync when reconnected.


18. Enable Mobile Dashboard View

Lastly, enable the mobile dashboard view below.


19. Manage Additional Requirements

You can also manage additional requirements or permissions.


20. Enable Filing in the App

For Filing, enable filing in the app.


21. Grant Payslip Access

For Payslip, grant payslip access.
